Mr. Lyons,
Thank you for the article Has
Open Source Become A Marketing Slogan? which was recently
posted at Forbes.com.
A couple of things you wrote miss the mark but all in all it was a well
written piece.
VA Linux chose LNUX as their stock symbol (back when they were selling
Linux server hardware). Only later did the company become VA
Software. The way you wrote about it makes it seem like they continue
to deliberately use their stock symbol (something they shouldn't have
to change) to mislead consumers. I don't think that's their intent -
you seem to insinuate that it is (was).
